Cricket Coaching Batting Tips/ How to keep the ball along the ground ?

Hi, I am Syed Abbas, I don’t known how to keep the ball along the ground, mostly when playing spin. Do you have batting tips to help with this?

Hi Syed, a simple but powerful drill to work on this is to get your training partner to throw a full length to you and you practice driving, hitting the ball into the ground in front of you.

This forces you to wait for the ball, allowing it to come right up to you and the contact point then comes right under your eyes.

This is timing for hitting the ball on the ground.

When playing spin, work on using your feet to control the bowlers length. When you don’t get to the pitch and try to drive, the ball will go in the air, then use soft hands and look to rotate the ball into space.
