My journey started as a sport crazy kid in the north east of England. My brother and I were sports mad, playing soccer, rugby, cricket whenever we got a moment to get out the house.

It all caught up with me, playing too much with no proper coaching, guidance or recovery. Week after week of grind on a young body. I broke down in my early twenties with chronic injuries and ended up having five surgeries. That was the end of my cricket playing ambitions.

But in adversity there is always a silver lining if you search for it. I used the time I had out of the game wisely, these surgeries happened over a series of years and whilst trying to recover and get fit to play again, I began to seek answers as to why I got injured.
